Melissa Mazzitelli handles a variety of civil litigation matters including homeowner’s and property owner’s claims, employment law, intellectual property, and other litigation matters for businesses and individuals. She also drafts and reviews a variety of corporate and personal transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, distribution agreements, commercial real property leases, powers of attorney, and other such matters to help clients protect themselves in the event of future litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Mazzitelli practiced civil rights litigation in New York State Courts, having tried several jury trials to verdict. She has extensive experience in examining and preparing expert witnesses, and in testing the admissibility of their findings. One of her more notable victories involved a groundbreaking analysis of expert testimony that changed the landscape for Frye hearings statewide. Ms. Mazzitelli is also experienced in employment law matters and previously served as a volunteer small claims arbitrator in New York. In her spare time, Ms. Mazzitelli volunteers as an attorney ad litem for Children’s Legal Services and serves on the board of directors for the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA) of South Florida.
